Samara Burstein is a 17-year-old from New York City. She is passionate about climate activism and political activism. She currently serves on U.S. Representative Carolyn Maloney’s Congressional Youth Cabinet and has volunteered for local and national campaigns. She is a member of her school’s debate team and a writer for her school’s political journal. She also enjoys jewelry design, reading, and journaling.
Why Kids Fight Climate Change?
I joined Kids Fight Climate Change because I believe that climate education is one of the keys to addressing the climate crisis. Kids and teenagers are the future of our planet and in order to create change, we need to ensure that they are educated about the climate crisis.
