My name is Maya Dunkelman, a senior in high school. I live in New Jersey and attend Eastern Regional High School, where I play tennis and am active in my school newspaper, The Voyager. Usually, I can be found re-watching The Office for the 10th time or playing with my tiny dog, Tobi!

Why Kids Fight Climate Change?

I joined Kids Fight Climate Change as a volunteer writer to utilize my writing skills for my passion for environmental activism. Although I write environmentally doused pieces for my school, doing so in a space dedicated to such topics and made by like-minded individuals is much more meaningful to me. In the future, I plan on studying environmental studies/policy in college and this position will allow me to research more about my passion to slow climate change!
