Throughout the United States, mayors and governors have banded together to fight climate change (please note that there is no date representing this. I just chose the day I wrote the post). Originally, there were only 25 mayors and governors but now, over 2.7 thousand American political leaders have joined the coalition. These politicians represent over 127 million Americans and $6.2 trillion of the American economy.
These politicians have joined together to pledge to follow the conditions of the Paris Climate Accord even after American President Donald Trump pulled us out of it. They want to cut down America's carbon footprint to help stop climate change.
Who do they represent?
There are politicians that have joined the coalition from all 50 states. The We Are Still In coalition is is the largest network of local leaders with the intent to stop climate change in the United States. Many different organizations sponsor We Are Still In.
