About the event

“Science fiction is any idea that occurs in the head and doesn’t exist yet, but soon will, and will change everything for everybody, and nothing will ever be the same again”.

Ray Bradbury

One way to enter the world of fiction is through the question: ”What if?” With climate change, the question has become, “When?” That’s so terrifying that it can be hard to process, let alone look for solutions. The implications and scale of the climate crisis can lead to immobility. Stories can help. In this workshop you’ll be sparked to write your own flash fiction addressing the problems we face.

No writing experience necessary – just a willingness to be open to the “What if?”

406A Comfort Road New York, NY 10004

This NYC Climate Writers Collective event will be facilitated by the Brooklyn Speculative Fiction Writers.
