About the event
At COP28, countries committed to double the annual rate of energy efficiency improvement, for every year through to 2030. Government, corporates and climate non-profits need to unleash huge improvements in the energy efficiency of existing buildings. But where are we almost one year one?
In this session we’ll show how some governments and corporates are moving rapidly to reach the scale of change required. We’ll examine lessons on overcoming barriers to progress, whether they are financial, technological, or regulatory issues; and how efficient, sustainable buildings are a key to social wellbeing and health.
Key questions to be addressed will include the following, including through audience Q&A:
- How can we revolutionize our buildings to meet the COP commitment?
- Who are the leaders, and which elements are now most critical to drive the pace of action?
- Why is energy efficiency key to wider social and environmental topics, such as employee wellbeing and increased workforce opportunities?
This session is hosted by Climate Group.
