About the event
There’s no other way to say it: We’re running out of time. Without collaboration between the public, private, and social sectors, the consequences of climate change — rising global temperatures, extreme weather, sea-level rise, and food shortages — will continue to worsen, rendering parts of our planet uninhabitable.
Fortunately, we do have solutions that can make an immediate and lasting impact. Government, business, and NGO partnerships are already leading the way with innovative approaches that address these challenges.
At Pyxera Global, our purpose is to address our world’s most pressing challenges, one community at a time. By bringing together representatives from these key sectors, we facilitate dialogue and drive systemic, equitable change. During the annual UN General Assembly (UNGA) and Climate Week NYC in September, Pyxera Global will host an evening of meaningful conversation focused on building an aspirational, action-oriented mindset and on committing to implement systemic solutions.
- Our four-hour event will feature two high-level panels, a keynote speech, and a cocktail reception in downtown Manhattan.
- The two candid conversations will give the evening’s attendees front-line access to climate remedies that can address the planet’s most pressing problems. And the ensuing cocktail reception will allow attendees to engage with the leaders delivering those relevant insights.
- The first panel will feature legitimate and authentic brands committed to sustainable solutions, while the second will spotlight groundbreaking community-led innovations from across the globe.
- The revelations shared by the speakers on both panels can have instant, positive benefits for all of humanity — particularly if supported and scaled effectively.

This panel will explore how businesses can contribute beyond financial investments, leveraging human capital and innovation to develop resilient and adaptive solutions.

Innovative solutions don’t always require massive budgets and cutting-edge technology. Sometimes, all it takes is creativity and resourcefulness, as demonstrated — to name just one example — by William Kamkwamba’s wind turbine built from scrap materials in Malawi (whose story is featured in the moving Netflix film “The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind”).
This inspirational panel features four such visionary leaders, from Africa, South America, and the American Plains, who are driving local innovations with global potential, protecting the environment, creating jobs, and using Indigenous wisdom.
- Climate Movement Maker Panelists (4):
- Elizabeth Wathuti — Founder & President, Green Generation Initiative William Kamkwamba — Founder & Creator, Moving Windmills Project (Watch “The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind” on Netflix) Atossa Soltani — Director of Global Strategy, Amazon Sacred Headwaters Joseph McNeil — CEO, SAGE Development Authority, Standing Rock Reservation
- Moderator: Abigail Taylor — **** Pyxera Global
